We had family friends visiting today, to celebrate Mandy’s Birthday 🎂🎈🥳 with cake and coffee, in the garden
It was quite a short visit, but a lovely one, and it made me think.
What a very long time it is, since our lives were ‘normal’.
The combination of the two spiky devils, Covid and Ken, has wiped out more than three years of our ‘normal’ life.
That’s about 17% of an 18 year olds life, and 4% of mine.
I know that it’s affected us (older ones) … and it must have affected younger people more, quite a lot more, probably.
But today, as I get closer to my DAY 100 target, it felt really very good to be heading towards Spring, Sunshine, and Normality.
It’s wonderful to be on our way back to ‘Normal’ 😊 … even though I have another quite big Chemo Ken session tomorrow 🙄😵💫
As I mentioned yesterday (DAY 81) I’m going to convert HubbleBubble into a book/booklet (possibly) called “Waiting for Ken” * and probably give it to Myeloma UK.
* Suggestions please 😊
As part of that process, I managed to change the HB search engine thingy, so that now it’ll find anything on HB.
I only mention this because I’m proud of myself 🥹👏👍 … and just to show off, I’ve added a Searchy thing here 🤣
BUT, it really is useful for finding Posts and Comments 🙂
