Yesterday, I had a call from the hospital 😳.
It was to tell me about the situation with Rivaroxaban & Apixaban. These are HubblyBubbly things which limit blood clotting, and are essential when taking things like Lenalidomide because it tends to cause blood clots … and nobody wants a clot 🙄
Apparently my Consultant said that Rivaroxaban does not affect my mobility – BUT agreed that it’s ok if I want to change to Apixaban 🙃
SO I said yes please (explaining that I’m desperate) … and that’s what’s happening today (together with a Zelodronic Acid infusion, and blood test).
I’ve had my last dose of Rivaroxaban & Lenalidomide yesterday, and Apixaban & Lenalidomide start tomorrow morning 🙂
I really want Apixaban to work and improve my mobility. I’d like to be like the ballet dancer Nureyev in a week or so …. Ready for our consultant meeting 🩰 on 22nd June 🙄
I’d be so pleased if I could do this! Maybe some gentle practice is needed …
