Blenrep is a powerful drug, which if it doesn’t damage me too much, could keep me safe and happy for quite a long time .
Like many powerful drugs, it has many potential side effects. The most scary of these is that it could damage my eye sight.
Because of this, I made myself a spare eye when one of our Grandchildren was visiting. Here it is …

Because of the potential eye damage I must, for safety reasons, have 3 weekly eye tests to check that my cornea (or window as I call it) has not been damaged.
The hospital is currently arranging these tests with a local ophthalmologist.
It’s strange … I really want treatment to start soon, and I really really don’t want treatment to ever start.
