Another Blood Test today … (on a very very grey miserable wet Monday) 🙁🙄
It’s a chance for me to collect my blood test results for last Thursday’s Blood Test. I’m looking forward to seeing how my blood’s RDW (Red Cell Distribution Width) level is.
And here’s what I found:
So my RDW (in yellow) is looking a bit better, it’s decreasing a bit. I’m definitely not worrying about that, any more..
But now I’m worrying about my Platelets … the blood cells that stop or prevent bleeding 🩸
What in earth’s happening ?! They’ve decreased rapidly??
After lunch, we’re relaxing watching ‘The Repair Shop’ (we don’t normally watch TV in the afternoon 🙃), when the phone goes.
It’s the Hospital.
I’m told that I’ll be starting more cycles of Chemotherapy, aka Ken, aka HubbleBubble … VERY SOON!?!
I knew that this was coming, it was always part of the plan, but I’m Horrified! 😱 and so is Mandy.
I ask the nurse about my Platelets … she laughs, and says that my Platelets are absolutely fine 🙄
This is a very weird Monday.
A bit later, the phone goes again … and it’s the Hospital, again 😬. I’m told that Chemotherapy will start on 23rd January😱.
Mandy says “You need to warn everyone! They only have a week to get any sense out of you!”
