DAY 53

Mmmm … it’s my Birthday tomorrow. What a year it’s been!

This time last year, my Myeloma hadn’t been diagnosed!

I was being tested in all sorts of ways, but the problem wasn’t diagnosed until 3rd February.

Treatment started on 24th February. I called it ‘Ken’, because I couldn’t say the word Chemotherapy 🙄

Ken had some interesting effects on my body, but it really did the job. My paraproteins dropped from 37 to 2.
And strangely, after Ken, they dropped to 0 or “can’t be detected”.

Ken ended on 15th June … that was a very happy day 😊👏

Then lots of tests at King’s College Hospital, to make sure that I was tough enough to handle Stem Cell Transplant.

And then … the Stem Cell Transplant!

It’s been a very busy year, but in so many ways, a totally wonderful one.
